I respectfully disagree. While the X-1 did win Sebring (once) and was then crushed, the Mk II came in 1st-2nd-3rd finish at Le Mans in '66 and Ford wnet on to win Le Mans for the next three years in a row.

I don't really like the X-1 (and other GT derived roadsters - there were a couple if memory serves). The lines just seem off.

I'm not a fancy engineer like some people, but I know what I like, and the X-1 Roadster and the GT roadsters that I can't seem to determine if they were factory built or not, are all... wrong. Just wrong. But I suppose that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I still don't know what beholders have to do with this... those are some ugly, ugly creatures.
Give me a Mk. I or Mk. II (or Mk. III if you must). That's where the real beauty lies.
